Review: Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Edge Control

Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Edge Control - $5.99
What is it?
Hair Gel for perfect control of your edges.

Why did I purchase it?
Last year I had a bad relaxer experience which caused breakage and hair loss on my hairline. After lots of TLC and Carol's Daughter Some of Marguerite's Magic (click here for my review) my hair has grown back but its at a length where it is prone to frizziness and fly aways. Nicole recommended this because her mom (who has natural hair) uses it when she presses her hair.

Should you sample this?
I don't usually shop in the "ethic hair" section. Most of these products contain mineral oil and are petroleum based which clogs pores and that's not great for your hair. Edge Control does not contain mineral oil or petroleum but it does have parabens. Nicole and I try to stay away from beauty products with parabens because they are suspected carcinogens. I tried this on a rainy day, 9 weeks since my last relaxer. As directed, I didn't use a lot of product and brushed my hair back into a ponytail.  It blended my side afro puffs to give me a sleek look and it lasted all day (even through heavy rain) with no white residue.

If you are looking for a hair gel to give superior hold and shine to your hairline, you should sample this. ~ Tamiko
