Click here for Part One of my hair journey with WEN.
To recap: I reduced my salon visits and started washing my hair on my own. My hair is relaxed and colored. Due to the double processing, my hair has become dry and fragile. I purchased the 4 peice Fig Ultimate Collection which includes: 16 oz Cleansing Conditioner, 8 oz Styling Cream, 4 oz Bath, Body and Hair Oil and 2 oz Texture Balm. You can purchase it here from QVC.com
Second use: 4 weeks post relaxer; 2 weeks post color application.
I recently got a shorter hair cut to make it easier for me to wash/dry/flat iron/curl. I also brought a Revlon RV544 1875 Watt Tourmaline Ionic Lightweight Dryer, click here from my reveiw. For those of you who read my first post on WEN, you know I didn't own a dryer.
This time I used 12 pumps of WEN cleansing conditioner in Fig for my first cleanse and 10 for my second, 1 pump of the cleansing conditioner and 1 pump of the styling creme with a few drops of the oil for my leave in.
I let my hair air dry for about 30 minutes (I was also doing laundry). I parted my hair in 4 sections, used a small paddle brush drying small sections using the concentrator attachment on the dryer. I used the high speed/warm temperature setting. Afterwards, I flat ironed my hair using my T3 flat iron at 370 degrees (see pic below for the tools I used). I'm getting better with flat ironing...yay me!
Here are the results:
Once again I was impressed with WEN as my hair was incredibly soft and managable. I didn't have a lot of hair loss and my color didn't fade during this process. I think I've found what works for me - I'm a WEN girl!
Here are the tools I used:
Hint: the next WEN Today's Special Value on QVC will be Sept 3rd.
