Tamiko's Hair Journey - Reviews and Commentary: Part 3

This is my final post on my hair journey for now.  Click here for Part One of my hair journey, here for Part Two

To recap: I reduced my salon visits and started washing my hair on my own.  My hair is relaxed and colored. Due to the double processing, my hair has become dry and fragile. I purchased the 4 piece Fig Ultimate Collection which includes: 16 oz Cleansing Conditioner, 8 oz Styling Cream, 4 oz Bath, Body and Hair Oil and 2 oz Texture Balm. You can purchase it here from

Third Use: 6 weeks post relaxer, 4 weeks post color application

First, let me say I love my new haircut!  And I love washing my own hair (never thought I would say that!!)

What I added:
Pik attachment for my dryer
Hair Rules Blow Out Your Kinks - Click here for my review.
Josie Maran Argan Oil Hair Serum - Click here for my review
Carols Daughter Macadamia Heat Protection Serum - Click here for my review)

L- Hair Rules Blow Out Your Kinks, R-Carols Daughter Macademia Heat Protection Gloss and Josie Maran Hair Serum

What I did:
I cleansed with WEN Fig cleansing conditioner, 10 pumps for the first cleanse, 8 for the second.  One pump of cleansing conditioner, one pump of styling creme, and one dropper of the oil to soaking wet hair as my leave in.  I let my hair air dry for about 30 minutes.  Parted in four sections, added a nickel size dollop of Hair Rules Blow Out Your Kinks to each section and used my Revlon dryer with the pik attachment to dry small sections.

Once my hair was dry, I used 3 pumps of Josie Maran Argan Oil Hair Serum and 3 pumps of Carols Daughter Macadamia Heat Protection Serum through the mid shaft and ends of my hair.  Flat ironed using my T3 at 370 degrees.  I'm getting better with blow drying and flat ironing....practice, practice, practice!

Here are the results:
